A long and cherished history.
The Grove was established in 1993 with the aim of treating people with addictions and other related issues. It also offers support to families, friends and work colleagues of those affected by addiction either in person or by telephone.
Peaceful Location
The centre is located in a pleasant and peaceful environment in the picturesque county of Kerry, adjacent to Ardfert Village on the shores of Banna Beach. It has the feeling of being supportive with its historic surroundings, pleasant walks and areas for contemplation but with the assurance of privacy and confidentiality.
Whole Person Treatments
Our individualised abstinence based treatments are broadly based on the Minnesota Model of Addiction Treatment, and the 12 Step Approach originally developed by Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) which involves treating the whole person – body, mind and spirit, through group therapy and individualised one to one counselling. Yoga and a fitness room are also included in our programme.
